The 2hr Aquarist APT Zero can tackle the most demanding plants, or just enjoy everyday magic in new tanks with aquasoil, and aquariums with more fish. The easiest way to unlock the true potential of your planted tank today.
APT 1 or ZERO replicates APT 3’s winning formula without nitrates and phosphates. This gives maximum algae control for new tanks (and we recommend all tanks to start with APT 1/ Zero for the first 1-3 months), and optimal long term performance for tanks with more fish. This is because fish food and waste already supply phosphates and nitrates.

If you have started a fairly new tank, and have gone through the initial cycle and everything that comes with that, including the initial Algae bloom that forms and settles due to your aqua soil of choice and plant load maturing after about 2 months, then this is the best product to start using to manage your algae (if used correctly) as well as vastly boost your over all plant growth rate and health.
